  1. Show Respect at all times. To yourself, Sensei, your fellow students, instructors, parents, teacher, etc.

     a.  Bow when coming into class, as you are leaving class, and when Sensei or an instructor come in.

     b.  Use the terms, Ma'am and Sir when addressing others.

     c.  Take care of yourself (proper hygiene).

     d.  Take care of equipment; yours, the school's, the church's, someone else's.....

2.   No Profanity.

3.   No Cell phones in training hall.

4.   Do not argue on the training floor.

5.   No tobacco use on church grounds. (This is also a policy of the church)

6.   No shoe or socks on the training floor.

7.   DO NOT go past the restrooms.

8.   Prioritize Family, School, WMA.

9.   Use of Martial Arts techniques outside of WMA class is for self-defense only.

      a. You may practice at home.

      b. You may train with fellow martial artists while under supervision.

      c. If this rule is violated it may mean dismissal from the school. There will be an investigation as to the circumstances to determine the consequences.

10.   DO NOT come to class under the influence!!!

 

Rules

Wilderness Martial Arts Rules and Guidelines

Students are required to know, understand and live by these rules and guidelines. It is the goal of Wilderness Martial Arts to build respectful, confident students.

  1. Bow to show respect

  2. Show up to class in full Gi.

  3. Tie your belt on prior to entering training floor.

  4. Good Sportsmanship at all times during training/sparring.

  5. Be fully aware of your surroundings at all times while training, especially with any weapon.

  6. When presenting a weapon take care to show no sign of aggression.

  7. Eating and drinking are to be done before or after class, not during.

  8. When being shown a technique; listen, observe, study and apply.

  9. Be thankful to those who train with you. They are here to help you learn and to learn from you.

  10. Always do your best.

  11. Keep your uniform, gear, and weapons in good condition.

  12. Show up 10-15 minute prior to class.

  13. Set shoes, socks and gear bag neatly in designated location.

  14. Parents and siblings can wait in the lobby area, but are asked to keep the noise down. There may be other functions happening in the church during our time.

  15. Be prepared to test any time. Sensei will decide if and when you are ready.

  16. We will leave the training area, church, and other area we utilize in a clean and orderly condition.
