The three armed cross of Shorin Ryu

The three arm cross is the Coat of Arms for the Okinawa Royal Sho Dynasty unification of the three kingdoms (Hozudan, Chuzan, and Nanazan) into one. This also represents the three elements of martial arts; Patience, Strength and Knowledge

Shorin Ryu is at the heart of Wilderness Martial Arts. It is the basis for which all other techniques and studies grow. Shorin Ryu is an Okinawan karate that is a blend of Japanese Karatedo and Chinese Shaolin Kung Fu.  It was kept secret and hidden because of the public ban of organized martial practices. Fighting methods and techniques formed as organized patterns, katas, to hide thier true meanings.
